Long Boulder

Session Length: 45-60min Facility: Bouldering Wall, Splash/Woody Board

The Setup

Set yourself a 12-16 move boulder problem. This problem should take around 40 seconds to climb. You can set this from scratch or link existing problems. Keep the difficulty consistent with no stopper or low percentage moves.

The Training Climb the problem 4 times with 2 minutes rest in between each, this is 1 set. Rest for 5 minutes and then complete another set using the same or a different problem. Complete 3 sets in total.

Tips & Adjustments Change the problem each session. It is OK to fall in the later reps especially in the third set. If you can’t complete the problem in the earlier reps then it is probably too hard. If you slip off just get back on and try to complete the problem.
